DIG: Draping Implicit Garment over the Human Body

چکیده

Existing data-driven methods for draping garments over human bodies, despite being effective, cannot handle of arbitrary topology and are typically not end-to-end differentiable. To address these limitations, we propose an differentiable pipeline that represents using implicit surfaces learns a skinning field conditioned on shape pose parameters articulated body model. limit body-garment interpenetrations artifacts, interpenetration-aware pre-processing strategy training data novel loss penalizes self-intersections while garments. We demonstrate our method yields more accurate results garment reconstruction deformation with respect to state the art methods. Furthermore, show method, thanks its differentiability, allows recover jointly from image observations, something previous work could do. Our code is available at https://github.com/liren2515/DIG .

Multi-Layer Implicit Garment Models

This paper presents a new way to model clothing worn by articulated implicit characters. A scalar field is produced using ellipsoids as primitives. Isosurfaces are then used to place garments in one or more layers. As each implicit surface is independent, collision detection is not needed. The cloth is a polygonal mesh whose vertices are in turn moved towards their destination isosurface using ...

Evaluation of a lower-body compression garment.

The aims of this study were to determine how custom-fit compression shorts affect athletic performance and to examine the mechanical properties of the shorts. Ten male and 10 female track athletes on a university's nationally competitive track team, specializing in sprint or jump events, participated in the study. Testing utilized the compression shorts with loose-fitting gym shorts as the cont...

Garment-based body sensing using foam sensors

Wearable technology is omnipresent to the user. Thus, it has the potential to be significantly disruptive to the user’s daily life. Context awareness and intuitive device interfaces can help to minimize this disruption, but only when the sensing technology itself is not physically intrusive: i.e., when the interface preserves the user’s homeostatic comfort. This work evaluates a novel foambased...
